I:dA tries to be an open space!
The anarchist / libertarian collective invites you to join and create a space, far from a commercialised and profit-orientated every-day society. We meet every thursday at 8 PM to discuss issues concerning the group and the weekly program. If you want to organize some event at the i:da, please join us at our meeting and tell us your ideas. If it’s not possible for you to attend one of our meetings you can also write us an email: ida(at)ideedirekteaktion.at and we will get back to you.
Everything is free priced, we never want any rent or entry fees nor are there fixed prices for drinks or food. You have to decide for yourself how much you want to pay for using the place or drinking your beer. Some pay more – some less, we don’t want to judge or pressure you.
The infrastructure at the i:da is perfect for parties, workshops, lectures, reading circles, filmsessions, concerts – you name it! There is a kitchen for diy- cooking, a shop for silk-screening, a stage for live-shows or other performances, internet and a video-projector.
People’s kitchen is every tuesday. If you want to join the cooking team, come at around 4 in the afternoon to help, dinner is always ready at 8 PM. Free movies are shown every sunday. Silkscreening workshops are being held regularly for anyone interested in printing t-shirts or learning the arts. Fridays and saturdays are almost always open for parties! Just look at the calendar on our website and join us!
I:dA tries to be a hierarchy-free space!
We don´t accept any form of sexism, racism, antisemitism, homophobia or any behaviour that oppresses others, regardless of the way they are expressed – as jokes, provocations, physical or verbal aussault.
If you are confronted with such a behaviour you can count on the solidarity of the I:dA members (there is always at least one of them behind the bar).
We support those who are affected!
A hierarchy-free life needs shared responsibility!
